CREW CHIEF SAM PERONI
Sam Peroni
2-B Racing Crew Chief Sam Peroni is widely recognized as an authority in the science and art of sprint car setup and racing strategy. His highly disciplined, innovative approach to preparing BernDog and the Favorite Systems/Simonson Consulting sprint cars for battle has been crucial to the team's steady climb in the championship point standings.
Sam's exceptional knowledge, skills and overall excellence were clearly acknowledged in 2006 when the Arizona Sprint Car Association (ASCA) elected him as the organization's official Technical Inspector. The Tech Inspector supervises racing safety and specifications compliance at all racing event. He is fully empowered to disqualify any car for safety issues or non-compliance. That other drivers and teams trust Sam with that level of authority illustrates the degree of respect he has earned among his peers.
Despite his many responsibilities and "down-to-business" attitude at the track, Sam is also known for his willingness to assist other racers whenever possible. Sam Peroni is the kind of uncommon professional who would be a major asset to any racing team at any level.
MECHANIC "JUNIOR" MOORE
Junior Moore
Matt "Junior" Moore has also played a key role in the success of the 2-B Racing team. Under the mentorship of Sam Peroni, Junior has steadily increased his racing knowledge to the point that he is also a highly skilled sprint car mechanic and setup man.
His willingness to work like a madman and do whatever it takes to get the job done have been hugely important to the team's readiness to compete and win. His can-do attitude and constant, "I just got some" grin are the kind of things that make sprint car racing so much fun for BernDog and the crew.
Junior is also widely acknowledged as a world-class party animal who can liven up even the lamest BBQ, social event or prayer meeting. So, when you see families hiding their daughters, take a look around...Junior's probably in the house.
